I said to Norma Jeane: “Sit on the highway, it represents Life! You have a long way to go!” It all started here, in 1945. Norma Jeane was 19; just started modeling. This was her first professional assignment. I was madly in love with her, and wanted to take many, many pictures of her. Why I wanted that, it’s a long story, yet to tell. While photographing this, looking at the tiny little white stars on her red skirt, unconsciously, I began prognosticating to her, that, she will become very famous!
